Golf Digest just published a list of the 35 best California golf courses anyone can play, and it contains three Pete Dye designs!

Coming in at #7 in the state is Pete Dye’s Stadium Course at the PGA WEST Resort. Home of the PGA’s American Express tournament, this course is ‘Dye-abolical’, and has a 17th hole island green that is the sister to the famed island green at TPC Sawgrass.

At #10 is Pete’s design at the Trump National Golf Course – Los Angeles. Just west of Long Beach on the bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the course has sweeping ocean views and pristine grounds. It’s a pleasure to play, regardless of your political leanings.

Coming in at #30, we head back to PGA WEST for Pete Dye’s Mountain Course. With a memorable elevated tee shot on #16 down to the par-3 green, the course routing through the mountains overlooking La Quinta Resort will not disappoint.
