The US Open today announced all of the Local and Final qualifying sites for the 124th US Open (which will be played at Pinehurst No.2 from June 13-16, 2024), and two Pete Dye designs will be hosting competitors vying for a spot in the prestigious golf tourney.

The TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, CT will host local qualifying on April 25th, and Keswick Hall (Full Cry) in Keswick, VA will similarly host local qualifying on May 14th.

TPC at River Highlands, first known as Middletown Golf Club in 1928 and later as Edgewood Country Club, was completely redesigned by Pete Dye in 1982. It has been named by Golf Digest multiple times as one of the Top 10 Golf Courses in Connecticut. It’s a par-70, 6,841 yard layout with memorable holes on #15, #16, and #17– nicknamed the ‘Golden Triangle’. The course has hosted the PGA’s Travelers Championship since 1984, and in 2024 the Travelers Championship was designated as one of eight prestigious PGA Signature Events.

The Full Cry course at Keswick Hall was originally built in 1949, but was redesigned by Pete and Alice Dye in 2014. As one of Pete’s last designs that he worked on, the course provides breathtaking, sweeping views of the natural landscape of Virginia ‘Hunt Country’. As a 7,134 yard par-72 course, playing it is less about length and more about setting yourself up for the best lines for approaches into firm greens.

Best of luck to those attempting to qualify for the US Open at these two Pete Dye courses!
