Some of the European Tour players this week may be feeling a little dèjá vu!
One week after the professional golfing world celebrated Pete Dye’s infamous TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course for the Players Championship (won by Rory McIlroy), the European Tour plays another Dye course this week at the Porsche Singapore Classic, complete with yet another Pete Dye designed Par 3 island green on #17!!

The Classic Course at Laguna National Golf Resort Club is the host to this week’s Porsche Singapore Classic, designed by Andy Dye with collaboration with his famed uncle (Pete Dye) and cousin (Perry Dye). Nicknamed “The Beast” and billed as “Asia’s Toughest Test”, the Classic Course stretches to 7,471 yards and will be a formidable test for the European Tour players. Armed with 250 bunkers, a 305-yard Par 3 (Hole 3), and allegedly the smallest green (Hole 7) and largest green (Hole 13) in Asia–this will be an exciting week for the European Tour! Robert Macintyre, Paul Casey, and and Tom McKibbin are the current odds-on favorites to win the event.
Laguna National Golf Resort, located on the east end of the Singapore island, also has the ‘Masters Course’, another Andy and Pete Dye design.
