Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club in Boynton Beach, FL has reopened after a renovation project was just completed by Scot Sherman, close friend to Pete and Alice Dye.

What Sherman called a ‘sympathetic restoration’, changes included introducing some new design elements drawing from other Pete Dye courses, as well as restoring Dye’s original features and green contours. The renovation, which started in March 2024, also included installing a completely new irrigation system, as well as restoring sandy shell areas and upgrading bulkheads.

Scot Sherman will turn his focus to lead the renovation of Pete’s famed Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head in May 2025 right after the RBC Heritage PGA event.

Delray Dunes was near and dear to Pete and Alice, with it being their first course completed in the state of Florida back in 1969. They called it home for many years in nearby Gulfstream, FL, and Pete was known to stop by Delray Dunes to offer suggestions and make improvements to the course while there!
