The Travelers Championship will be played at Pete Dye’s TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut for the 41st year in a row (since 1984). Formerly known as Edgewood Country Club, the PGA Tour purchased the club in 1984 and commissioned Pete Dye to redesign it, renaming it ‘TPC of Connecticut’ (later changing it to TPC River Highlands in 1989).
The Travelers Championship is the 2nd most attended PGA event every year (just behind the Waste Management Open in Phoenix). It’s also where Jim Furyk infamously shot a 58 in 2016–the lowest round of golf in PGA Tour history!
