One of Pete Dye’s famed and beloved courses in North Florida will be getting a minor facelift! The Omni Amelia Island Resort just announced a $7.4M renovation of their Oak Marsh course, being led by Beau Welling Designs. The intent of the renovation is to protect the architectural feel of Pete’s original 1972 creation, while bringing some slight modernizations to the layout to help enhance the playing experience for today’s golfers. They key for us at the Pete Dye Society is that Welling Designs will ensure that Oak Marsh will be updated to Pete’s original design while maintaining his architectural ‘feel’!
Renovation is set to begin this year on October 1st. We can’t wait to see the finished product!
