Two outstanding Pete Dye courses have renovations underway this month at the Full Cry course at Keswick Hall (Keswick, VA) and at The Farms Golf Club (Rancho Santa Fe, CA). Both renovations are being led by long-time associates of Pete, ensuring the course updates stay in line with Pete’s original design and vision for each course!

Full Cry golf course at Keswick Hall

The Full Cry course at Keswick Hall Resort near Charlottesville, VA is one of the top resort courses in the US, frequently topping rankings in the state of Virginia and national rankings for public-accessible golf courses. The renovations at Full Cry are not a complete overhaul of the entire course, but will focus on just four holes— notably the Par-4 6th hole (new tee box), a redesign of the par-4 9th hole, minor tweaks to the par-4 13th hole, and similar minor adjustments to the par-5 17th hole. The renovations are being led by Scot Sherman, a long time associate who worked for Pete and has an excellent track record of rehabilitating Pete Dye courses, having just completed renovations of Pete and Alice’s first design in Florida at Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club (Boynton Beach, FL). Mr. Sherman is also the lead architect for restoration work scheduled to occur at Pete’s infamous Harbour Town Golf Links (Hilton Head Island, SC) in May immediately following the RBC Heritage PGA event. Work on Full Cry starts this month and should be completed in April.

The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

The Farms Golf Club is a challenging private Pete Dye course just north of San Diego, CA that just locked in a 20 year deal to become the home course for San Diego State University’s golf teams as SDSU transitions into the PAC-12 conference for collegiate play. While the project includes state-of-the-art facility updates, there will also be updates made to the course turf and bunkers throughout the course. The golf course updates are being led by Tim Liddy, another long-time Pete Dye associate who worked for Pete. Mr. Liddy just completed an outstanding multi-year restoration of Pete Dye’s courses at PGA West in La Quinta, CA (including Pete’s Mountain and Stadium Courses). Mr. Liddy also has an excellent track record of beautiful restorations of Pete’s courses while not deviating from the master architect’s intent and designs (as was confirmed by PGA pros during and after this year’s American Express PGA tournament in January)! Work on The Farms begins this month and will be complete for the 2026 NCAA golf season.
