Beau is currently leading the renovation of Pete’s Oak Marsh golf course at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, and tells a phenomenal story about Pete taking him under his wing during an impromptu visit to Kiawah in 1989 while Pete was building the Ocean Course. This meeting left quite the impact on Mr. Welling, and has influenced his work ever since under Tom Fazio and in his own firm, Beau Welling Design.
