In preparation for next week’s Players Championship, National Club Golfer just published a nice history of the Players Championship, which is 50 years old next week. Travel back to when the tournament rotated around to different hosting sites. First in Georgia, then Texas, and then Florida. It found a final, permanent home at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, a course built by Pete Dye specifically to host the Players Championship annually!
